Salerno has been Wayland Academy's Kindergarten teacher since 1992.

 In my academically oriented kindergarten children are taught in
a nurturing, creative and playful environment.  I believe that positive
reinforcement, natural consequences, and individualized attention
encourage students to develop a constructive balance of self confidence
and interpersonal skills necessary for future experiences.

 

    While phonetic skills, emerging reading, and mathematics are
stressed, there is a strong emphasis placed on enjoying the school
experience.  My goal is to set a foundation that school is a happy and
positive place to be and the year in kindergarten will stand out as a
treasured memory.

TO OUR PARENTS AND TEACHERS

If you have any additional photos that you are willing to let us use,
please bring them in to school and give them to any teacher, or else
